About Me

Hussnain Saleem

Hey everyone! My name is Hussnain Saleem, but most people just call me Huss. I’m someone who loves a good adventure, I’m always down to try something at least once. But let’s shift gears from the fun stuff to the professional side.

I recently graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. While school wasn’t always my favorite thing, I truly gained a lot from the experience, especially connecting with like-minded people who helped me grow both as a coder and as a person. Before that, I earned my Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Middlesex College. (So if there are any FinTech folks out there, hit me up!) That mix of business and tech has shaped the way I approach problem-solving, helping me thrive at the intersection of logic and creativity.

When it comes to the technical side of things, I love writing code, building websites, and creating visual projects, one of my favorites was developing a VR escape room game in Unity. But creativity doesn’t stop at tech. I’m also passionate about videography, photography, social media, and making fun content that brings people joy. I really enjoy working with others, making people laugh, and doing my part to make the world feel a little lighter.

Professionally, I started out in sales and management while pursuing my business degree. I spent several years at Verizon, where I worked as a Team Lead Manager and Wireless Specialist. I handled everything from sales and inventory to coordinating with district stores and leading team meetings. But after a conversation with my aunt (shoutout to her), I pivoted into Computer Science, and that’s when things started clicking. I was curious about how things like the internet and social media actually worked, and CS opened that door.

Since then, I’ve had a variety of experiences: I worked as a Software Engineering Intern at AMT ERP, where I helped streamline product data for manufacturing clients and collaborated with cross-functional teams (thanks to my Urdu/Hindi skills, I also helped bridge communication with outsourced teams). More recently, I’ve been doing freelance web development for local businesses, like a café website I just launched, and I may soon build a site for an ERP company I might intern with called Dynalogics.

Right now, I’m exploring what fits me best. I’m especially drawn to software development and UX/UI design, since both let me combine creativity with problem-solving. Long-term, I aspire to give back in a meaningful way, by building schools and mosques for underprivileged communities. I’m passionate about storytelling through videography, and I hope my work inspires others to dream big, stay kind, and give back.
